20 gymnasts travelled to Spirals for the County Level 5 and 6 championships on Sunday 1st October and it turned out to be an extremely successful day!
Huge well done to Shanae Sigorney who competed in the East Regional Voluntary In Age Levels competition on Sunday 24th September.
On Saturday 9th September, 15 FGA gymnasts competed in the Cambridgeshire County Levels 4, 3 + 2 Championships in Huntingdon.
FGA gymnasts travelled to Loughborough for a fun filled week of training on our annual summer camp. This camp is so valuable as at our gym we don't have the use of foam pits, tumble tracks, fast tracks or trampolines so the gymnasts really enjoy using the equipment.
17 FGA gymnasts travelled to Colchester on Sunday 30th July 2017 and competed in a friendly invitational called Future Stars! it was a really tough competition with large groups but all the gymnasts competed beautifully and we walked away with 5 medals. Well done to our medal winners: Halle Bell (x2), Emilija Stonkute, Lily Jimson and Summer Vincent.
FGA entered 14 gymnasts over the age of 11 into the Senior Apparatus competition at FGA on Sunday 23rd July 2017. This competition is fantastic as gymnasts get to pick different levels for each apparatus so it really plays to their strengths and gives them a chance to showcase all their best skills. FGA gymnasts had a fantastic day and won a whole host of medals as well as 8 trophies for highest scorer on an apparatus.
FGA entered a float into the annual Wisbech Rose Fair on Saturday 1st July. The theme was "For the love of books" and we decided to do Where's Wally. All members were invited to participate from Pre-schoolers right up to the Elite squad gymnasts. It was a fantastic event and everyone had great fun. To top off a fantastic day, FGA were crowned the "OVERALL WINNERS"! We couldn't be prouder of this achievement and it's the 2nd year in a row that we have won it! We absolutely love this event as it brings together the whole community and we are extremely grateful for all the support that we receive from the town.
15 girls travelled to Milton Keynes yesterday to compete in the National Roses competition. This is a fantastic competition where gymnasts can try out lots of their new skills in a friendly environment.
On Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May 2017, FGA hosted the 1st Galaxy Invitational competition and a lot of our squad gymnasts participated.
On Friday 12th May, over 70 of our recreational members competed in a friendly competition on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor and Trampette.
7 FGA gymnasts qualified to take part in the 2017 Regional Finals for Club Grades 6-1 which took place on Sunday 7th May at Pipers Vale Gymnastics Club in Ipswich.
On Sunday 23rd April, 4 FGA gymnasts from our squad groups competed in the General Gymnastics Level 2 Apparatus Competition, in the 8-9 age group. All of the girls performed beautifully and managed to walk away with 6 apparatus medals between them.
FGA had an extremely successful weekend at the Cambridgeshire County Grades competition with all our gymnasts passing their grades, 7 County Champions and 7 gymnasts through to Regional Finals.
On Saturday 1st April, a group of FGA coaches, gymnasts and parents travelled to the East of England Showground in Peterborough to participate in a 5k run obstacle race.
Four FGA gymnasts travelled to Pipers Vale Gymnastics Club in Ipswich on 18/19th March to compete in the East Regional National Grades and Compulsories competition.
On Sunday 5th March, 21 gymnasts from FGA travelled to Phoenix Gymnastics Academy, Peterborough to compete in the County Floor and Vault Competition.
At our 2017 annual Extravaganza, local businessman John Foster presented FGA with a cheque for £10,000 on behalf of Fosters Property Developments.
On 2nd, 3rd and 4th February, Fenland Gymnastics Academy members all took part in our annual Extravaganza where they performed 3 shows to audiences of over 220 people.

We are delighted to announce that with the money we raised throughout 2016, we have managed to upgrade our Vault area for all our members to enjoy.
FGA held it's 3rd Annual Awards Evening on Saturday 19th November 2016.
Well Done to Alysia Hawes and Lilia Riley who were part of the Cambridgeshire Level 4 team who placed 5th at the East Region Inter-County Teams Competition which took place on Sunday 13th November. Both girls put in fantastic performances and it was a great experience for them!
